At Pro-Rehab our team is dedicated to providing excellence in injury rehabilitation treatments for our patients. We treat our patients for many conditions and injuries resulting from car accidents, whiplash, work place injuries and sports injuries and more in Delaware. We develop effective rehabilitation treatment plans for our patients, and not only do we alleviate their pain, we fully assist them on their path back to health and recovery. Our offices utilize the latest technologies in injury rehabilitation services to isolate problem areas faster and more accurately than traditional injury rehabilitation methods.
Dr. Sheehan has been practicing in Delaware and Pennsylvania for the last 16 years. He has had the opportunity to treat difficult cases by working hand-in-hand with area medical doctors.
After completing his doctorate in Georgia, at the world’s largest Chiropractic school, he returned to help clients in his home state of Delaware. He attended Salesianum High School and the University of Delaware.
Dr. Sheehan has treated world renowned athletes, Andy Roddick, Billy Jean King, Venus Williams and local celebrity commentator Derrick Gunn. He was the staff chiropractor for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
and was able to help star Ty Pennington with his back pain.
He was integral in bringing the most technologically advanced equipment in the world to Delaware for treatment of neck pain, mid to lower back pain, and injuries from AUTO and WORK ACCIDENTS. He was voted Delaware’s Best Chiropractor by the News Journal multiple times. He resides in Wilmington with his wife Gerry, his son Dean and daughter Keira.
Nicole Stoessel is a Delaware native. She attended Neumann College where she received her bachelor’s in nursing degree. She received her doctorate in Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York.
Dr. Stoessel has attended many continuing education seminars focusing on a specialized therapeutic technique called Craniosacral therapy. Dr. Stoessel specializes in conservatively treating migraine headaches, neck and arm pain, low back and leg pain, acute and chronic injuries, motor vehicle accidents and work related injuries and carpal tunnel syndrome.
She utilizes her Chiropractic and medical expertise to give each patient the most individualized care possible. She understands the importance of integrating both healthcare worlds to treat each patient as a whole person for the most success. She works closely with the medical community and believes chiropractic and medicine offer patients complimentary care for all conditions.
Dr. Andrew Leitzke was born in Ithaca, New York. As a young child he moved to Newark, Delaware where he was raised. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Delaware where he studied biology. While in college he began to suffer with a chronic low grade back pain. It wasn’t until he saw a Chiropractor that he began to see relief. Eventually, with the help of Chiropractic care his back pain completely resolved. It was these amazing results that inspired him to move to Atlanta Georgia to study Chiropractic. Upon graduation he received his doctorate in Chiropractic from Life University, the largest Chiropractic school in the world.
Dr. Leitzke then moved back to Delaware to start practicing Chiropractic medicine in 2000 in his home town. Since then, he has successfully treated thousands of patients who have suffered with conditions such as headaches, neck and back pain, sports injuries, and injuries from auto and work accidents. He has also been a finalist as “Delaware’s Best Chiropractor” two years in a row. In addition, he has worked as a guest Chiropractor for Extreme Home Makeover and for several local sports teams.
Along with practicing Chiropractic medicine, Dr. Leitzke has been very active in his community by volunteering his time with the Boys and Girls club, coaching basketball and lacrosse, and mentoring students in the Appoquinimink school district.
He now lives in Middletown, Delaware with his wife Amy and their two boys Tyler and Jacob.
Dr. Mark Mauragas, a native of Newark, DE and graduate of St. Mark’s High School, has returned to Delaware to help those in need and to give back to the community which helped mold him into the doctor he is today. After graduating from high school, he pursued a path in the health care field which culminated in his graduation from the University of Delaware with a degree in Nutritional Science in 2006. He continued his studies at New York Chiropractic College and graduated with a Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2009.
Dr. Mauragas promotes a holistic approach in teaching patients to achieve optimum health by applying various Chiropractic techniques for a diversity of conditions. He is focused on patient education thereby teaching his patients the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through proper mental attitude, stretching, exercise, diet, nutrition, and chiropractic treatment.
Dr. Mauragas is also a certified Workers’ Compensation doctor who specializes in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases.
Dr. Marie Swasy was raised in Pike Creek, Delaware. She graduated from St. Mark’s High School and attended the University of Delaware where she received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Dance. Marie was a competitive dancer throughout high school and became interested in the health care profession as a result of her personal experiences with sports injuries. However, it wasn’t until attending a class at UD that she was introduced to chiropractic. She then experienced the benefits of chiropractic care for her chronic migraine headaches and back pain and knew she wanted to help others live pain-free.
She received her doctorate degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. While at Palmer she was designated a Clinical Teaching Assistant and was awarded the “James Buerkle Memorial Award” upon graduation. Dr. Swasy is Board Certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. In addition to treatment of neck pain, back pain, headaches, and other common musculoskeletal complaints, she specializes in treating personal injury cases, such as motor vehicle accidents, and is certified in Workers’ Compensation.
Dr. Swasy is excited to be back in her home state to help her community. In addition to gaining her education, Palmer College is also where she met her husband, Dr. Brad Swasy. They currently reside in Newark with their dog, Penny.
Dr. Brad Swasy is a native of western Pennsylvania and graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a major in Biology. He experienced the benefits of chiropractic first-hand from a young age when he went with his parents, as well as getting treatment for various sports injuries. Dr. Swasy then moved to Port Orange, Florida to pursue his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Upon graduation, he returned to his second home of Pike Creek, Delaware to serve the growing needs of the community. Dr. Swasy is a Board Certified Chiropractor through the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and has received training in various techniques and modalities to treat a wide range of symptoms with the best patient outcome in mind. He specializes in treating personal injury and Worker’s compensation cases, in addition to neck pain, back pain, headaches, and other common musculoskeletal complaints.
During his time in Florida, he met his wife, Dr. Marie Swasy. They currently reside in Newark with their dog, Penny. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
While studying at the University of Maryland, Dr. Jen Milus was injured in an auto accident. This was when she discovered Chiropractic and that changed her life. She then followed her new dream to Palmer College of Chiropractic, in San Jose, Ca. There she focused her study on sports injuries, training for elite distance running, and cycling. After graduating in December of 1993 Dr. Jen settled in Pleasanton, California with her family and set up her practice. Life there consisted of running a full time Chiropractic practice in addition to being a high school team doctor, an exercise & rehab coach, and a lacrosse coach. She worked with sports injuries, work & auto injuries and the 2008 Olympic Synchronized Swimmers for strength and conditioning. Her diverse practice grew over 19 years, when she decided to work for the Department of Defense (DOD), and moved to the National Capital Region. After six years with the DOD and her daughter in Chiropractic school, Dr. Jen decided to come to Pro Rehab for quality of life, work, and practice. She settled in Lewes, Delaware and works out of the Pro Rehab offices in Lewes and Seaford. During her off hours, she can be found riding her bicycle in area events or at the dog park or beach with her “best friend” Max.
